Tomorrow we begin

Physically, our journey begins tomorrow to serve at Mission on the Move's Boys and Girls Homes in Tapachula, Mexico. However, the pilgrimage truly began last August when the team of eight women began meeting together. Through prayer and sharing our hopes and dreams with one another, we created a mission statement that we have been living into for the past months:

The Tapachula Women’s Missional Team will build and strengthen a Christian relationship with the children, parents and staff through encouragement and love.

Please pray for us, Ellen, Becky, Flory, Sarah, Reddan, Susan, Kathie and Teresa, as we travel and begin serving the 40 boys and girls, ages four to 20. Our days will be busy with enrichment activities that we have planned and prepared for the children, such as Vacation Bible School, a teen spirtual retreat, outings, shopping, helping with homework and housework. We will offer spritual guidance to the children’s mothers and the staff as well.
